Organization
The Parent Network consists of members guided by an executive committee and supported by a steering committee. The executive committee is comprised of five members, with every effort made to include at least one member from each of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s three hubs. The steering committee is comprised of parents serving on YES workgroups in addition to three parents from each of the seven Idaho Division of Behavioral Health regions. The original regional positions were filled by parents involved in the initial October 2016 Parent Network training. New members will be identified as needed.
The steering committee is responsible for being aware of important meetings, legislative sessions and timelines where parent input is needed. All members are encouraged to participate in education and advocacy. The steering committee will meet as needed to support and advance the vision and mission of the Parent Network.
As the Parent Network grows, unlimited members from every region will be welcomed.
